A check I wrote didn’t clear. What should I do?

Sometimes a check can be returned unpaid for a variety of reasons. A TTCU representative can review your account with you and help explain what happened, so you know your next steps.

I deposited someone else’s check and it bounced. What happens now?

If a check you deposited is returned, you’ll receive a copy of the item in the mail. You can use that copy to try and renegotiate payment with the original check writer.
If you’d prefer not to wait for the mailed copy, you’re welcome to contact the check signer directly to request another form of payment.
